The challenges that I encountered during this assignment was understanding how media queries worked through the usage of columns and rows. Another difficulty was trying to fix styling issues because I wasn't sure which div/element to put the styling on. I had to do a lot of trial and error for styling and seeing how each element fit the columns for every device size. Overall, learning media queries responsive design was the hardest since a lot of it goes into bootstrap. At the start, media queries was very difficult to understand.
Once I understood how the columns and rows worked (a lot of diagrams and googling helped a lot), everything wasn't too hard to apply. I would say it took a good 3 to 4 hours of messing around with columns to get the hang of it but then after that the only issues I had was styling errors. I prefer bootstrap because it requires less code and the framework provides more useful tools that I will be using for my future websites. It also provides a cleaner look for my websites and feels better to work with.
